Synopsis

Ernst Beyeler has been dealing in art since 1947. Over the years he has assembled an impressive collection, which he now shows in the public venue created especially for it: the Fondation Beyeler. Beyeler lets us in on the twists and turns of dealing in works by some of the greatest figures in modern art, and shows us pictures in his collection he has taken off the market despite their enormous worth. International art celebrities and selected members of the great man’s inner circle pay homage to one of the last eminent representatives of a bygone era, in which the art business was still driven by personal commitment.
